5 months!!!

I can't believe my baby girl is 5 months old! Time is just flying by and Marin is growing like crazy. We are beginning to feel more and more comfortable with the whole parenting thing and Marin makes it so easy by being such a great baby. She is learning so much and she just amazes us every day! She is getting SO big (4 month stats: 15lbs 7oz, 25 inches long) and already has 2 teeth! She has been sleeping 10-12 hours straight at night which is such a blessing!She is always trying to become more independent and is extremely interested in whatever is happening around her. She has been rolling around since she was just over 3 months old and is still trying to master sitting independently. She is scooting around like crazy and can get her hands on just about anything she wants; I'm sure she'll be crawling in no time. She loves to "talk", and her smile and laugh are completely infectious :) She loves to give hugs and kisses, which are so slobbery but so wonderful :) We love our baby girl SO much and are so happy to be her parents!

I love tummy time now!

We started feeding Marin solids at 4 months old; she seems to finally be liking her rice cereal.

Surprisingly, she does not like fruits and veggies very much. The only rhing she likes so far is bananas.

She loves to suck on EVERYTHING... especially her fingers and toes.

We still love to go for walks and Marin finally tolerates wearing her sunglasses!

2 Month Stats!

Marin had her 2 month check-up the other day and she is growing like a weed! She was 11lbs 13oz (50%) and 24 1/2 inches long (97%)! I had to pack away all of her 0-3 month clothes the other day because she could no longer straighten out her little legs in them! She is getting better at sleeping during the night; she usually sleeps for a 6-7hr stretch at the beginning of the night and then is up every 2 hours after that. We can't wait till she sleeps all the way through the night! We can't believe she is growing so fast; we love her so much and are having so much fun watching her learn, play, and grow! She is such a good, sweet baby and we are truly blessed!

She LOVES her hands... she looks at them and sucks on them all the time!

Holy Cow!

According to the scale in our bathroom the other day, Marin is just over 11lbs already. Ginger, our cat, is 18lbs (15 before the baby was born). I guess everyone in this house likes to eat!

3 Year Anniversary

On April 14 we celebrated our 3 year anniversary!

Our wedding day, 4/14/2007

In the 3 years we have been married, we have:

-moved 6 times

-owned 8 vehicles

-moved cross-country to San Francisco and back

-purchased a home (and built a deck/finished the basement)

-welcomed a beautiful baby girl into the world


It has been a wonderful and adventurous 3 years and we look forward to many, many more!

5 Weeks Old!

I can't believe that Marin is over a month old already! It is amazing how much she has changed in that short time. Even though part of me misses the early days when she would wake up only to eat and get her diaper changed and then would go back to sleep for a couple hours, it is so much more fun now. She has become so much more interactive over the past couple weeks and we just love watching her learn and grow! She is definitely getting bigger; we don't have a recent weight for her but she sure is getting heavy (must still be under 10lbs... she still fits in NB diapers though they are getting snug)! She loves to eat and is getting chubbier cheeks every day :) We love her so much!

She holds her head up so well already that we decided to try her Bumbo seat... she loves it!



Her favorite thing to do now (besides eating) is to play. She loves to look at herself in the mirror! She is also getting good at batting at/grabbing the toys hanging above her!




She is able to hold her rattle and give it a shake!


The best thing of all that she has started doing is SMILING and "talking"! We just love it and can't get enough of those sweet little smiles!
